“Words are even more feeble on this Memorial Day, for the sight before us is that of a strong and good nation that stands in silence and remembers those who were loved and who, in return, loved their countrymen enough to die for them.” ~ Ronald Reagan
It’s Memorial Day Weekend! First and foremost, acknowledgement and gratitude go out to all the heroes and she-roes of veterans who gave their lives and to those who continue to serve so we have the freedoms we do!
May we never forget the sacrifice of these honorable men and women.
Memorial Day Weekend is a perfect time to connect with others.
We need connection.
Connection keeps us in the present moment.
Connection reminds us of what’s important: you, family, friends, love, time, memories, etc.
Connection reminds us of who we are, so we can share our best selves with others.
Connection is love.
Connection is healing.
Connection breathes life into bad moments and you are reminded you are never alone.
Connection is that energy which exists between two people when they feel they are valued, seen and heard.
Connection is necessary to thrive in life.
Connection is necessary not just with people but with anything we love to do. Anything at all that results in bringing out our best selves is worth connecting with.
I hope you take advantage of all the opportunities you can this weekend to connect. This weekend offers much. There will be neighborhood parades to honor our veterans. Many feel Memorial Day kicks off the summer so a barbeque with family and friends will be planned to enjoy the first of many to come. A three-day weekend is celebration enough to give you time to kick back, relax and enjoy those who mean the most to you.
Connection. An absolute “yes” for me. I will always find room in my schedule to connect.
I wish you a safe weekend with many wonderful connections!
